It’s always great to get away from camp, even just for an hour.

The Apartment // Michael ShowalterIt is no secret that my number one celeb crush (is he a celeb? well, in my heart at least.) is MICHAEL SHOWALTER. He’s so wonderful. For those that don’t know who he is - he is a member of sketch comedy group The State and 1/3 of the amazing comedy trio Stella (with Michael Ian Black & David Wain). Or you might recognize him from The Baxter or Wet Hot American Summer - two great movies he (co-)wrote, (directed), and starred in that are just lovely. OR, just recently, Michael & Michael Have Issues - a (sadly) now canceled series that ran on Comedy Central with Michael Ian Black. Shew… if you don’t know who he is by now, you may want to rethink why I’m friends with you. :) juuuuuust kidding - if I’m your IRL friend, chances are I’ve forced you to watch one or more of the aforementioned with me already.
The audio clip is from one of his comedy pieces he does with his stand-up. It’s a dramatic reading of one of his high school poems with a brief, very funny, preface.
Isn’t he lovely? I love him. And I’ve told him so in the various love notes via facebook I’ve sent him. He’s not returned a one of ‘em. Sigh. Unrequited love is hard, y’all.
Have a beautiful Monday and week!
This.

Katie: It’s cold.
Coop: Yeah. I’m freezing.
Katie: Do you want my sweatshirt?
Coop: Do you mind?
Katie: Okay, Coop, now I’m colder than I was before when I said I was cold.
Coop: Do you want my flannel?
Katie: Yeah. This is cool. It’s a really great shirt. I love it.
Coop: It’s my favorite shirt. So you’re gonna have to give it back.
Katie: Now?
Coop: Yeah.
